SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.25 g, 1 h), Tarsos. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow. SC 331.2-3. A lovely example with a particularly expressive portrait. Struck from somewhat worn dies and with a few minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
